Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Benzin app, made by Megasoft (megasoft-co.com), handles your data. It is written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Last updated: 13 August 2026
کوردی1. Who is responsible
The Benzin app is built and operated by Megasoft. We are the controller of any data collected through it.
- Email: [email protected]
- Website: megasoft-co.com
- Servers: data is stored on our own servers.
2. What data is collected
Benzin has no accounts. You do not sign up, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number. This is the complete list of what the app sends — nothing else:
- Device UUID
- A random value the app generates for itself on first launch. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or to any hardware identifier — no IMEI, no Advertising ID. Uninstalling and reinstalling produces a new one with no connection to the old.
- Selected city
- The city you chose in settings, so that notifications for that city reach you.
- FCM token
- A technical address issued by Firebase to your device, used only to deliver notifications. Not sent if you turn notifications off.
- Platform and app version
- Android or iOS, and the app version number, for diagnosing technical problems. The operating system version is not collected.
- Crowd reports
- If you report how busy a station is, or that it is closed, that report is stored against your device identifier — so that each device gets one vote. Your name is not attached, nobody is shown who said what, and the report is deleted after 90 minutes.
- Notification preferences
- Which categories you have switched on: daily list, news, general.
- Notification opens
- Which notification was delivered and opened, so the same one is not sent twice.
- Ad impressions and clicks
- When an ad is actually shown on your screen, or you tap one, that is recorded against your device UUID. See the advertising section below.
- Usage counts
- Number of app opens and session length, as daily totals. No individual profile is built from them.
- Name, email, phone number or any personal identifier
- Your location — read on your device when you ask, never sent to us. See the location section.
- Contacts, photos, files or the list of installed apps
- What you type into the search box
- Google Advertising ID
3. Location — never leaves your phone
- Permission is requested only when you press something that needs it — never while the app is starting.
- If you refuse, the app works exactly as before; only the distance figures are absent.
- COARSE location is requested, not fine: the figure is shown in kilometres, so a street-level fix would spend battery to produce the same number.
- Nothing is read while the app is closed. No background location permission is declared.
- The position is held in memory until the app closes, then it is gone. You can switch it off at any time in settings.
4. What it is used for
- Notifying you when a new fuel list is published for your city
- Delivering news and general announcements
- Knowing your app version so we can fix technical problems
- Counting ad views and clicks, so the advertiser gets an accurate report
- Understanding which parts of the app are used, in order to improve it
5. Advertising
The app displays advertising. This is what covers the cost of running the service and keeps the app free for you.
6. Third parties
We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone for commercial purposes. One third-party service receives technical data:
Beyond this, data is disclosed only where the law or a court order requires it.
7. Legal basis
Collection rests on the legitimate interest of operating the service: without the UUID we cannot send a notification exactly once, and without counting ads we cannot cover the cost of running it. For notifications themselves you give consent on first launch, and you can withdraw it at any time in settings.
8. How long it is kept
- Inactive device records
- Deleted automatically after 1 year without use.
- FCM token
- Deleted when you switch notifications off, or when Firebase reports it is no longer valid.
- Ad event rows
- Deleted after 1 year. Before that they are used only as totals.
- Aggregated statistics
- Contain no UUID, so they are kept indefinitely.
9. How it is protected
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Database access is limited to the people who need it.
- Backups are taken automatically and stored encrypted.
- If a security incident affects you, we will tell you.
10. Your rights
As a user of the Benzin app, you have the right to:
- Know what data is held about you
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of all your data
- Turn notifications off, which deletes your token
- Change your city, or uninstall the app, which ends the connection
11. Children
Benzin is not intended for users under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect data from children. Because we collect no personal information, we cannot determine a user's age. If a parent believes their child has sent us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page, and significant changes are announced with an in-app notification. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting the updated policy.
